General Order and Design Process
Step 1. Set Your Style Priorities
After your initial inquiry about ordering a custom Helianthus watch, we’ll ask you to fill out our Custom Watch Form. Completing this form is essential—it helps us understand your vision and gives us clear direction when creating initial design mock-ups. To support you in this process, we’ve developed the Custom Watch Literature, a guide to help you make all the key choices and preferences involved in crafting your watch. We want your Helianthus Watch to be perfect for you, so if you have any questions after reviewing the guide, please reach out. When you're ready, send your completed form to Helianthus.watches@gmail.com.
Step 2. Initial Design Mock-up Composition
Once we receive your completed Custom Watch Form, we’ll carefully review your preferences and follow up if we need any clarification. We’ll then create several mock-ups based on your responses. Depending on your selections, the mock-ups may showcase different color schemes, design styles, price points, and more. Each mock-up will present curated options for various components—dial colors and textures, watch hands, bezel designs, strap styles, and beyond. We’ll also include pricing estimates for each design and note how prices may change with different customizations.
Step 3. Design Collaboration
We’ll email you the mock-ups so you can review and choose the details that will go into your custom Helianthus Watch. This is a crucial stage, and we encourage open communication—ask questions anytime. If none of the mock-ups feel quite right, just let us know what you'd like to change, and we’ll create a revised version based on your feedback. Once you've made your selections, mark your chosen mock-up in the box at the top right corner, select all your desired options, and email the marked mock-up back to us.
Step 4. Estimate, Contract, and Deposit
After receiving your final design choices, we’ll send you an updated estimate including a detailed breakdown of all components. Review the quote carefully to make sure everything matches your vision. Once you're satisfied, follow the link in the same email to access the contract page. Please read through the contract, sign it when ready, and follow the instructions to pay the non-refundable deposit. We cannot begin building your watch until both the signed contract and deposit are received.
Step 5. Building Your Helianthus Watch
Your Helianthus Watch components are ordered on demand—this means we place orders for parts after your contract and deposit are complete. Occasionally, a component featured in your final quote may go out of stock. If this happens, we’ll notify you and offer suitable alternatives before placing the parts order. Once ordered, parts usually arrive within 1–2 weeks. When everything is in hand, we begin hand-building your watch in our workshop. Each watch undergoes a thorough inspection before shipping, and you’ll be notified upon completion along with tracking details.
